This article presents currant regulations and EU directive on the protection of workers from the risks related to noise at working environment. Agricultural machinery often generates intensive vibration and noise. The designer (manufacturer) must estimate and eliminate or reduce noise risks as far as possible. Noise reduction at the source is the most efficient way and should be used in early design cycle. The paper presents one of the methods of minimization of noise emission (at the source) using structural modification. Examples of minimization of noise at working environment using modification of modal parameters of the corn-flattening contrivance are presented
