The influence of protective treatments in the potato minitubers cultivation on tubers quality

The aim of undertaken study is an attempt for improvement of potato tubers quality using protective treatments. The factors of the experiment were cultivation technologies: a) control, B) with protective treatments: four cultivars, plant density: 10, 20, 30 cm in a row. Full manuring and NPK fertilization were applied. The samples for qualitative testing were collected by standard methods. Protective treatments of plants grown from potato mini-tubers caused the significant decrease of dry mass content, starch, protein, ascorbic acid in tubers, and increase of total and reducing sugars and nitrate concentration. Density of planting didn't cause significant effect on quality of potato tubers
