The aim of conducted research was biological evaluation of carfentrazone-ethyl activity in spring and winter cereal crops, applied in herbicide Aurora 40 WG and its mixtures with herbicides originating from chemical groups of other mechanism of activity. Aurora 40 WG is a new, selective herbicide. Carfen trazone-ethyl is an inhibitor of protoporphyrinogen oxidaze and causes very fast control of sensitive weed species. The effectiveness of Aurora 40 WG with mixing partners in winter and spring cereals was assessed in 2000-02. The herbicides were applied post-emergence in spring, when cereals were at stage of tillering. Effectiveness of Aurora 40 WG with mixing partners was very high
