Nutritional homeostasis and plant crops resistance to biotic stresses

Plant crops, over the growing season, are under threat of pathogens and herbivores attack. Resistance to attack results not only from genetic characteristics of plant and its natural enemy but also from environmental growth conditions of both organisms. In plant production, the degree of parasites activity is affected to some extend by plant nutritional status of attacked organism. Plants are able to built up during vegetation several defense strategies against biotic stresses. Three of them are reported in the presented paper
