Effect of various methods of restoring fallow soils to agricultural use on soil weed seedbank

The paper shows changes in fallow soils after their restoration to cultivation under varying tillage methods. Three year field experiment was conducted as parallel strip design method in four replication. Used tillage methods traditional ploughing, ploughing with a skim coulter, multistage ploughing, no tillage and also the effect of crop rotation was examined. After finish of fallowing the first crop rotation cycle was: maize-oats-winter triticale and the second crop rotation cycle: oats-winter triticale-maize. As far as weed species an their distribution in layer: 0-5, 5-15, 15-25 cm were concerned the lowest number of seed bank was noticed after multistage ploughing and also the lowest number of seed bank was observed after winter triticale
