Estimation of agro-ekosystem load based on farm gate nutrients balance in selected farms of Wielkopolska region [Poland]

The 25 private farms situated in different parts of Wielkopolska region (Poland) were surveyed in 2004-06. Size range of selected farms was between 30 and 550 ha. The paper presents estimation results of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in farm gate balance methodology. Input considered nutrients in bought products: fodder with supplements, fertilizers, manures, animals and seeds - sowing material. Output enclosed nutrients in sale products: animals and its products, crops, fodders and losses in production. The results of nutrients balance (NPK) in private farms of different specialization and production level indicated the risk of the nutrient surplus in agro-ecosystem in comparison to output with agricultural products
