Patterns of milk cholesterol content an Black-and-White breed cows

Research data concerning 305-days lactation performances from 1995 cows of Black-and-White and hybrids of Black-and-White and Holstein breed were gathered. Effects of genotype, milk yield age, lactation number, calving season and feeding on milk and blood cholesterol were analysed. Milk samples were collected between 7 and 10th month of lactation - time of maximum cholesterol concentration in milk, as previously stated by Tomaszewski and Hibner [2001]. Blood samples from cows were collected at the same day as milk samples, just after the end of morning milking
