Alternative methods of stored product pests management

A review of alternative methods of insects control (in relation to the chemical one) included in this paper gives views on wide range of their applications. Rules of good storage practice place pressure on necessity of adaptation of chosen method to technical specifications of the room or on combination of the methods to obtaining a high effectiveness. Control of agrophages under any conditions should be read as a final solution. Definitely, early detection of agrophages and elimination of infested lots of product should be the priority. A general principle to the practice: if possible preventive and physical measures should be applied anytime and anywhere while chemical methods when it is necessary
