Soils of fresh pine forests Leucobryo-Pinetum and Peucedano-Pinetum in Lowland in Poland

The objective of the researches was to investigate soils of fresh pine forests from Polish Lowlands. During field investigations were set 45 plots in well developed sities of plant communities Leucobryo-Pinetum and Peucedano-Pinetum. It was found, that both plant communities are existing on different types of podzolic and rusty soil, however Leucobryo-Pinetum more frequently occupies proper podzolic soils and poorer rusty soils. The Peucedano-Pinetum was twice more frequent on proper rusty soils. The differences seems to be result of the variability of parent material
