The wartime in Chechnya (1994-1996, 2000-2003) and unstable post war situation infuenced on condition of infrastructure of The Republic. One of damaged element was system of water production and distribution in Grozny. Private water suppliers may be considered as one of the fixed elements of the water supply system for Grozny inhabitants. This method of supplying water, which is normally used very rarely and in times of crisis, has been used in the city for many years. To analyse the participation and role of private entrepreneurs distributing water for the inhabitants of Grozny, it was decided to conduct the survey research. The questions contained in the questionnaire concerned four basic issues: the quantity of transported water, its quality, the zoning of services, the methods and instruments for performing the work. 81 answers were obtained for the questions contained in the questionnaire
