Development of livestock insurance in Serbia

The author bring out the characteristics of certain periods in the development of livestock insurance in Serbia. The investigations concerns both the legislation of insurance in general and legal acts, regulations and conditions of livestock insurance, with the respect to different phases (capitalism, socialism, period of transition) if the socio-economic development in Serbia, beginning from the of 19th century. It would be analyzed the relation between the state and insurance, the insurance underwriting companies, kind of risks in insurance and kivestock which are the matter of insurance. Obligated or coluntary insurance would be analyzed too, as well as other relevant factors that had crucial infulence on the development of livestock insurance in the respective periods.
