We have investigated the improved non-invasive photosynthetic-fluorescence method in maize breeding and seed production to asses the resistance and adaptability of maize inbred lines to higher and high temperatures, as well as to drought. The results obtained and presented parameters of total thermal processes of delayed fluorescence (DF) of chlorophyll, such as temperature dependence, critical temperatures and activation energy may contribute to a more accurate characterization of maize inbred lines in respect to resistance and adaptability to higher and high temperatures and drough. In turn, this can lead to a quicker and more rational maize breeding process.
