Yields in onion production in Serbia vary from few tons per hectare till 70 tons per hectare. So, we have a great opportunity to increase yields of onion and to become important exporter of onion to EU and Russian market. Certain moments in onion production such as: selecion an adequate plot for growing onion, soil cultivation, fertilizing, sowing process and selection of hybrids, irrigation, plant protection and harvesting are of great importance for achieving high yields and good quality of onion.
