In the world, there is actual minimize usage of liquid per hectare, that is treating orchards with small application rates from 150 to 500 l/ha or even smaller from 150 to 250 l/ha. In our practice is most commonly used medium application rates from 500 to 1000 l/ha or large application rates from 1000 to 1500 l/ha. Efficient application of small application rates demands quality air assistance sprayers. Controlling its working correctness, correct calibration, using anti drift devices small application rates could be applied in Serbia, in early phases of vegetation. Adaptation does not demand huge financial investments, while the usage of modern air assistance sprayers with electronic regulation of the application rate would be better but also more expensive solution. Excellent solution presents usage of sensors which would be adapted on air assistance sprayers and give data regarding the size of plants and health condition.
