The level of development of various integrated structures (IS) such as agrISood holding companies in Belgorod region depends on political, legal, social, economic and other conditions in the whole country. The economic factors enhancing IS establishment are analyzed. IS should be considered as organizations that minimize transaction costs. This is based on the experience of regional agrifood corporations (AC). Increase of effectiveness resource use at all stages of primary production, processing and marketing by IS. This is provided with finance of investors-integrators and through the technological and manufacturing association on the base of economic mechanism. Results of analysis of integration process in the region aregiven. The analysis for organizations involved in the largest IS and AC is presented. The problems of IS activity are caused by the imperfect mechanism of their functioning both at asset management level and at its entities level. Legal issues of IS participants relations are considered. The asset management has to choose a legal form because there is no the term holding company in the Civil Code of Russian Federation. Preference is given to cooperative associations and limited companies (LC). Eighteen of 21 regional AC are stock companies and 2 are LC. Ninety seven of 139 subsidiary enterprises became stock companies, 42 ones became LC, 2 ones are afffiliates. The negative consequences of absence of legal framework are: registration of agrifood holding companies is not carried out; there is no account of their number and results of their economic activity. That impedes an objective estimation of IS development. The prominent IS are noted for the region.
