The aim of this paper was to evaluate forage production and quality of 12 birdsfoot genotypes, selected from domestic populations. Dry matter yield and plant height were determined by four cuts in the second and third year of utilization, while the quality parameters (crude protein, crude fiber, ether extract, N-free extract, ash) were determined only on the first cut, in the second year of exploitation. The results were analyzed by ANOVA. Variation in green matter yield were higher, than the variation on plant height. Differences between genotypes in crude protein content and for total yield of crude protein were significant. Genotypes number 7, 10 and 3 obtained green matter and dry matter yield, as total crude protein yield as standard cultivar, and they are great source of variability for further breeding process.
