The aim of this work was to compare the production results of two strains of broiler chickens - ROSS 308 and COBB 500. It was included 1200 chick in the trial. It lasted for 42 days. Average final body weight of ROSS 308 broilers was 2161 g, and of COBB 500 2295 g. The difference was statistically significant. COBB 500 broilers showed better feed conversion ratio, higher mortality rate and higher production index. No significant differences were found in dressing percentages between two broiler strains. Carcass of Hybrid COBB 500 had significantly higher content of abdominal fat compared to ROSS 308.
