Camprag, D., Poljoprivredni fakultet, Novi Sad (Serbia)
In the region of Serbia and neighbouring countries (Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina), soybean crops are attacked by over 180 pests (150 insects and 30 species from other animal classes). In the harmful fauna prevail polyphagous and oligophagous species, while specific were found in small number. The most important soybean pests include about 25 species. The most significant damage was done by two species from the genus Tetranychus. The abundance of soybean pests can be reduced by IPM strategy (especially cultural practices).
