The aim of this paper was to shown climate changes in Serbia during the period of 1949-2005 and their influence on the composition of weed community. Using dayly meteorological data, linear trends were calculated of the onset and duration of vegetation period (VP), as well as the trends in effective temperature sums for temperature threshhold of 10 deg C, trend in precipitation sums in vegatation, number of days with precipitation and trend in potential evapotranspiration. Spacial distribution was done using the cokriging method. The results show that vegetation periods in Serbia are increasingly warmer and drier, causing a change in the weed flora and a repression of annual broad-leaved weeds by the more thermophilous species.
