The objective in this experiment was to determine the apparent efficiency of absorption (AEA%) in newborn calves treated with zeolite (clinoptilolite) receiving different amounts of colostrum. Apparent efficiency of absorption (AEA%) at 6h after partus was significantly higher in G1 (group received 0.75 L of colostrum per meal, with 20 ml of 25% zeolite (clinoptilolite) suspension in distilled water), than in other experimental groups.
