New technology of maize fertilization with liquid fertilizers
2006
Fecenko, J. | Toth, L. | Halaj, P.
The fertilizer efficiency of liquid fertilizers Dufos, Dusadam and Dusadam in cooperation with zinc that was strip-applicated towards roots of corn plants was detected in large-scale field experiments. As control variants were the variants of basic fertilization without strip fertilizing. Out of the two-years results we can make the next conclusions: the strip application of fertilizer is more effective in comparison with wide-field application. The yield of grain in fair climatic year 2005 increased by 1.54 t per ha, i. e. by 18.3%, when fertilizing by Dusadam. In the year 2004 when rainfall absenced the yield increased only by 0.38 t per ha (4.9%) and 0.35 t per ha (3.9%) when fertilizing by Dusadam and Dufos, respectively in comparison with the check variant No. 1. The yield was affected positively by the strip application of zinc. In the year 2005 within the 590.85 ha field the yield increased by 0.79 t per ha (8%) in comparison with fertilizing with Dusadam. Especially high yields were produced within the field No. 86 and 105 with zinc content up to 1mg in 1 kg of the soil. The yields were 11.93 t per ha with the addition 1.99 t per ha (20%) and 11.17 t per ha with the addition 1.23 t per ha (12.37%), respectively. The strip application of fertilizer is effective and perspective for the practice.
