The impact of fertilization and cultivation on content of inorganic forms of nitrogen in soil under spring barley

In our trial we researched the impact of soil cultivation and fertilization on changes of content of nitrate nitrogen, ammonium nitrogen and inorganic nitrogen in soil during the observed years 2004 and 2005. This experiment was realized on experimental bases of Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra-Dolna Malanta at the spring barley (Hordeum vulgare). In the field trial was used two variants of tillage, B1-tillage up to a depth of 0.25 m and B2-till-age up to a depth of 0.15 m, with three types of fertilization, 0 - unfertilized control, NPP-fertilization according to its content in soil and NPP-fertilization according to its content in soil+plough down of post harvest residues. Each month soil samples were taken in from depth of soil profile of 0.0-0.3 m and 0.3-0.6 m for determination the contents of inorganic nitrogen forms. There prevailed ammonium nitroqen in soil and was 51.46% of whole inorganic nitrogen. The mean concentration of ammonium nitrogen was 4.05 mg/kg and of nitrate nitrogen was 3.82 mg/kg during the whole researched period. The cultivation had significant influence on nitrate nitrogen. The enhanced values of nitrogen were in variant with reduced tillage. We found the high significant influence of fertilization on changes of nitrate nitrogen in soil and bigger was in NPP variants, where industrial fertilizers were applied.
