A contribution to the knowledge of the phytocoenoses of the marchland-willow shrubs, floodplain forests and slope alder growths in the Pieniny National Park

Marchland wilIow groves, floodplain forests and slope alder growths occupy the smallest area in the Pieniny National Park, whereas Rubo-Salicetum cinereae belongs to the scarcest communities. Very common association Agrostio-Salicetum purpureae on the shallow gritty fluvisols is syngenetic and topic related to the association Salici-Populetum. Communities of mountain alder and willow growths occur only on alluvial terraces of the Dunajec River. Slope alder growths are related to waterlogged slope geests and they are represented by false brome variant of the association Coryleto-Alnetum.
