Serological investigation of the incidence of bovine herpevirus in Bulgaria

Bulgarian. In studies totally of 2024 sera from cattle calves and bulls originating from different country regions are included and 36.36% are positive. The obtained results lead to the conclusion, that the artificial insemination centers are important for spreading the disease. They must be free from disease due to the fact, that the number of serologically positive bulls is higher and they are the main source of BHV 1 infection.
