This paper presents the results of a study giving an assessment of impact of EU CAP measures and mechanisms on economic state of farms of different type and specialization. It is based on data collected through 3 surveys in 2007 and 2008; economic data of farms covered by the Agricultural and Accountancy Information System; and official statistical information. The assessment includes impact of individual CAP measures and mechanisms on income level, productivity and efficiency of production, market orientation, and process of cooperation and integration of different farms. The analysis shows that a great part of farms are experiencing serious problems in adaptation to new market and institutional environment. The assessment of CAP impact on different type of farms demonstrate that individual measures would hardly have only positive and significant effect on farms in various sub sectors of production.
