[Immune reactivity and calf diseases]

Results of the long-term investigation of age peculiar features of the immune reactivity, methods of diagnostics and differential exclusion as well as methods of non-specific and specific prevention of immune system and digestive organs diseases of calves realized in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus were presented. Analysis of the anatomico-physiological peculiar properties, age specific character and the immunological status of claves as well as the importance of clinical, hematological and immunological studies for the disease diagnostics were given. Aetiology, pathogenesis, anatomicopathological changes, symptomatology, diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis of immune deficiencies, autoimmune diseases, allergic diseases including feed and medicamentous allergy were studied. Classification of calf digestive organs diseases of noncommunicable, infectious, and invasive aetiolofy as well as the associated ones and their pathogenesis, anatomicopathological changes, symptomatology, diagnostics, treatment and prophylaxis was presented. Differential exclusion of the noncommunicable, viral and bacterial digestive system diseases of calves was given. Realization of the non-specific and specific immunologic prophylaxis of digestive system diseases including the review of the technological methods of disease prevention, application of individual calf boxes on the open areas, use of immunostimulative drugs, probiotics, vitamin and mineral additives and vaccination techniques was presented. Treatment methods (dietotherapy, rehydration therapy, phytotherapy, antimicrobial and laser therapy, and laseropuncture) of calf digestive system diseases were analyzed
