[Ways to increase the competitiveness of animal breeding]

The overall objective of breeding work in dairy cattle breeding on a present five-year period is in the further increase of genetic potential of dairy cattle of the Belarus black-motley breed to level of 10-12 thousand in kg of milk with the content of fat of 3,6-3,9% and protein of 3,2-3,3% and more. The main deterrent of an intensification of animal industries is the lack of forages, their bad quality, low concentration of productive energy of a dry matter. Until recently the emphasis on supporting forages, instead of on the productive, was placed. For energy finishing in 1 kg of the dry matter of a diet to 0,75-0,80 c.un. It is necessary to reconsider priorities of agrarian sector, having given superiority to animal industries. Agriculture should be oriented on high-grade forage production, especially grassy. It is necessary to create new system of breeding work in swine breeding, directed on reception in short terms of competitive breeds, types and hybrids of the pigs who are adapted for conditions of industrial pork production in the republic and not conceding to analogues of world selection; hi-tech breeding farms (queen cell) on cultivation of breeds of the Belarus selection - large white, Belarus meat (landras), Belarus black-motley, dyurok and petren with the outstanding genetically caused breeding and productive qualities which are steadily transferred to posterity; networks of breeder reproductors on duplicating of a breeding livestock with an exit on the world standards on reproductive, feeding and meat qualities; the Belarus hybrid with the following efficiency: a daily average gain in 600 g from a birth before weight achievement in 100 kg, including on fattening - 800 g, expenses of a dry feed for 1 kg of a gain - 3,0 kg, a thickness of the salted pork fat - 14-16 mm. The important problem in development of domestic animal industries - decrease in a share of grain in animal diets. Essentially new direction of animal industries is delivery of a wide spectrum of biologically active substances for medicine and the food-processing industry
