[Harmfulness of sugar beet diseases]

Cercosporosis\\\{Cercospora beticola Sacc.aqent), ramularia (Ramularia betae Rostr.agent), powdery mildew (Erysiphe communis Grev. f. betae Jacz.) and non-infectious disease-heart rot are the most spread and dangerous diseases of growing sugar beet plants The physiological processes are violated in infected plants: photosynthesis is violated, breathing, metabolism and sugar consumption is strengthened, the organic acid accumulation is increased, sugar content and root crop yield is decreased. In the given article the results of researches on determining the interrelationship between sugar beet plant infection by infectious duiseases (cercosporosis, ramularia, powdery scab (agent Actinomyces scabies (Thaxter) Gussow, A. cretaceus (Kruger) Gussow, A. albus (Gasp.) Wol., A.violacera (Gasp.) Wol.) and non-infectious - heart rot, caused by plant nutrition violation (boron lack), the complex harmfulness of diseases is determined. A close correlation dependence between weight and root crop sugar content and heart rot and powdery scab development is revealed. It is determined that sugar beet plant infection by disease complex decreases sugar content in root crops for 0,7-1,3%
