Efecto de quizalofop-p etilo sobre Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill. y Lecacillium (Verticillium) lecanii (Zimm.) Zare and Gams in vitro

Spanish; Castilian. Se estudió in vitro el efecto del herbicida posemergente quizalofop-p etilo sobre los hongos entomopatógenos Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill. cepa LBb-1 y Lecanicillium (Verticillium) lecanii (Zimm.) Zare & Gams) cepa Y-57, que se utilizan en papa para el control de Thrips palmi Karny. Los ensayos se realizaron con concentraciones del herbicida de 10, 100, 200, 500, 1000 y 2000 mg/L, y se evaluó la inhibición del crecimiento de la colonia de los hongos y el efecto sobre la capacidad esporulativa y la germinación de los conidios. Quizalofop-p etilo inhibió ligeramente el crecimiento de ambos hongos de acuerdo con la escala de la OILB; no obstante, las DL-50 y DL-95 fueron menores para B. bassiana que para L. lecanii. El herbicida clasificó como compatible para L. lecanii y muy tóxico para B. bassiana, según el valor de T. La germinación de los conidios de L. lecanii se inhibió totalmente a partir de concentraciones del herbicida iguales o superiores a 10 mg/L, y la inhibición alcanzó también el 100% sobre B. bassiana solo a partir de 500 mg/L. Deben tenerse en cuenta los presentes resultados cuando se vaya a utilizar estos hongos en el cultivo de la papa si se programan tratamientos del herbicida.

English. The effect of the post emergent herbicide quizalofop-p ethyl was studied in vitro on two entomopathogens fungi Beauveria bassiana (Bals.) Vuill. and Lecanicillium (Verticillium) lecanii (Zimm Zare & Gams) strain Y-57, used in potato for the control of Thrips palmi Karny. Assays were carried out with herbicide concentrations of 10, 100, 200, 500, 1000 and 2000 mg/L. The growth inhibition of fungus colony, the effect on spore production capacity and conidia germination were evaluated. Quizalofop-p ethyl lightly inhibited the growth of both fungi in study analyzed with OILB scale; nevertheless DL-50 and DL-95 were very lower for B. bassiana than L. lecanii. The herbicide classified as compatible for L. lecanii and very toxic for B. bassiana according to T value. Conidia germination of L. lecanii was 100% inhibited since concentrations of 10 mg/L and from 500 mg/L for B. bassiana. These results should keep in mind when using Beauveria bassiana or Lecanicillium lecanii in potato crop if quizalofop-p ethyl treatments are programmed.
