Evaluación de la acción de diferentes fitorreguladores sobre las poblaciones de Steneotarsonemus spinki Smiley en dos variedades comerciales de arroz

Durante la campaña de verano del 2000 se realizaron observaciones de la fase reproductiva del cultivo del arroz con el objetivo de evaluar el posible efecto de la aplicación de varios biorreguladores del crecimiento vegetal o fertilizantes foliares, sobre poblaciones del ácaro Steneotarsonemus spinki Smiley presentes en las variedades comerciales Perla de Cuba y J-104. Se determinó que la respuesta del tarsonémido fue diferenciada para cada tratamiento, y que la aplicación de triacontanol y fertilizante foliar con nutrientes, así como las mezclas triacontanol + fertilizante foliar sin nutrientes, análogo de brasinoesteroides + fertilizante foliar con nutrientes y análogo de brasinoesteroides + microalga produjeron aumentos en las poblaciones adultas, y análogo de brasinoesteroides y microalga causaron el efecto inverso. Se comprobó además que, independientemente de los tratamientos realizados, las poblaciones siempre fueron mayores en la zona basal de la vaina de las hojas bandera.

With the objective of evaluating the effect that may have the application of foliar fertilizers on Steneotarsonemus spinki Smiley populations present in two commercial rice varieties Perla de Cuba and J-104, several observations were developed on reproductive phase of rice crops during the summer campaign of year 2000. It was determined that the panicle rice mite populations was differentiated for each treatment, and the application of Triacontanol and Foliar fertilizer with nutrients, as well as the mixtures Triacontanol+Foliar fertilizer without nutrients, Analogous of Brasinoesteroids+Foliar fertilizer with nutrients and Analogous of Brasinoesteroids+Microalgae caused increases in the mature mites populations. Analogous of Brasinoesteroids and Microalgae caused the inverse effect. It was also proven that independently of the carried out treatments the populations were always bigger in the basal area of the sheath of the reproductive leaves.
