Weed management in sugar beet stands is usually realised by 3 post-emergence treatments. Herbicides used in each treatment time and their doses are chosen according to the weed species spectrum and to the growth stage of both weeds and crop. The first post-emergence treatment should be applied in weed growth stage of cotyledonous leaves, regardless of the beet growth stage. The second treatment takes place 5-10 days after T1, according to the intensity of weed emergence and also according to the regeneration of weeds affected by the first application. The third treatment is usually realised 10-20 days after the second one (the sugar beet should be in the growth stage of 6-8 true leaves).
