The economics of broad beans production in Behira Governorate

Beans is one of the important agricultural crops in the nutrition of human and animals. The Egyptian Government regarded carefully improving the product and productivity of the crop. The aim of this study is to estimate the main factors affecting beans production in Behira Governorate. The results showed that the most important factors in the production of beans were seeds, the pesticide and labor required. The obtained results also showed that the production quantity which minimize the average variable costs and maximize the profit of beans crop in Behira were 9.96 and 11 Ardab. The study also monitored some of the problems facing beans producers in the region.
