The biometrical and histological observation was made on the skin of head, leg and neck region of eight adult male bull of jersey breed. The total thickness of skin ranged from 3485micron to 3880micron, out of which dermis was 3305micron 3782micron thick. Papillary, reticular and subcutaneous layer were detected in the dermis. Conical loops of collagen fibers were found in the papillary layer. This layer was 47micron to 102micron in thickness. Sweat glands, heir follicles, Sebaceous glands, Aerrector pilli muiscle, Collagen fibers, Elastic and Reticular fibers were detected in the reticular layer of dermis. Subcataneous layer containing fat cells detected only in the neck region which measured 102.5+-3.45micron in thickness. Thickness of dermis was found maximum in neck region and minimum in leg region. Average depth, length, diameter of the sweat gland ranged from 404micron to 524micron, 60micron to 102micron and 13micron to 27micron respectively. Sebaceous glands were closely associated with sweat glands. Primary hairs follicles were also detected. Average depth of the hair follicles ranged drom 161micron to 259micron which was maximum in leg region.
