With the aim of releasing tolerant varieties to terminal drought 38 lines of bread wheat along with a check(WS-82-9) were planted a RCBD with 3 replications under late season water stress conditions in &rdquolocations ( Karaj, Kermanshah, Isfahan Neishabour and Varamin during crop season 2005¬ 2006. This trial was irrigated in autumn and depending on the amount of spring ring rainfalls one or two irrigations were done after cutting of rainfall so that the experiment were exposed to water stress in heading stage onward. The necessary assessments like response to winter cold, number of days to heading and maturity were evaluated recorded. After harvesting thousand kernels weight and grain yield per plot were recorded. Analysis of variance was performed for grain yield and Duncan's multiple range test was used to compare differences among genotypes means in each station. stability analysis was done using Rank method. Using mean tests ranking analysis and considering all recorded traits superior genotypes were selected. From 12 evaluated genotypes of first experiment, entries no 2 ,6 ,16 and 17 and from second experiment genotypes no 26, 27, 29, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, and 38 were selected to be studied in more details. To achieve this, an adaptation trial in &rdquostations during two crop seasons under terminal moisture stress will be designed
