A main part of northeast of Golestan province includes arid/semiarid pasture lands. Native people of this area earn from agriculture and ranch task. Increasing the grazing animals cause degradation of green vegetation and also to worse quality and quantity of livestock products. Change the utility of these kinds of regions to tree-planted pastures with multipurpose trees such as olive could help the managers for making occupation and reduce the pressure on the pastures. The study a technique for saving of rain water in small surface and optimize soil moisture to planting, we applied a nylon cover on the collector system area. A gravelly filter and also decomposed manure were incorporated in to the soil pits in order to enhancement the infiltration capability and stability of water. To show the effect of this procedure practically, the olive plant were cultivated into the system's pits. Pit's moisture and plant growth were measured in certain periods and analyzed. Statistical analyze illustrates that among the studied treatments, a specific treatment (25% by volume soil + decomposed manure) has on ideal role in increasing the soil profile moisture content. Beside this, in respect of some growth parameters, this treatment is better.
