Study of Zn Status in pistachio plantation area of Iran.

Zinc is one of micro-elements and essential elements for plant growth. Zinc deficiency in Iran pistachio plantations area as calcareous soil and high pH was observed. In order to investigate zinc situation in pistachio leaves, soil and water of pistachio plantation area of Iran this research was carried out. The selected area for investigation was Rafsanjan, Sirjan, Kerman and Zarand from Kerman province pistachio plantation area and Yazd, Semnan, Khorasan and Qazvin provinces from other part of pistachio plantation area was sleeted. Based on pistachio plantation area and dispersion in Kerman and other selected area 100 orchard was selected and sampling from water , leaves ( in August) and two sample of soils from 0-50 and 50-100 centimeters of soil depth was got . Zinc content in chosen water, leaves and soil was measured in laboratory. Results indicated that zinc content in water was zero with 0.1 ppm accuracy. Also, results revealed that zinc content in leaves of pistachio in Khorasan and Qazvin provinces and in soil of Qazvin province were more than other pistachio plantation of Iran.
