Autecology project of the Vicia villosa which is a pasture plant began in 1381 in Kohgiloyeh & Boyerahmad province. Because of importance of this plant which is one of the class I plant and palatability. It has a high cover area in this province relatively. Therefore this project have been done to increase it's amount and cover area by considering ecological condition, Edaphic, phenology and also, its relationship with environment and other leaving creatures. On the basis of the project methodology, phenology of plant has been studied for two years. Also depth of roots, superiority of plant's value and growing extent has been investigated. Degree of purity and weight of 1000 seeds have been studied. The Result showed that, Vicia villosa grows from 1600 to 2500 elevation from sea level, in semi – arid and moderate Mediterranean to cold Mediterranean conditions. This plant begins to grow from early April to early July moderatly. Because of its palatability, livestock graze this plant. People cut it for winter forage. Heavy grazing caused its deterioration. It is possible to extend this plant by seeding in high to medium texture of soil, with low to moderate soil depth and slope. Mixture of grass species with this plant is suitable for grazing.
