On pathogenic microbe, in order to solve the pollution course to the baby pig, we investigated the pollution situation of the pig and breeding environment. Since Salmonella and Clostridium perfringens which generates enterotoxin was not detected in this examination farm as a result of investigating the pollution situation of Salmonella and Clostridium perfringens about the pig, the pollution course of Clostridium perfrings which does not generates enterotoxin was used to instead of the pollution course of pathogenic microbe. Infection of the beginning to the baby pig of Clostridium perfringens was before the one week age of after the birth. From the result of the investigation of the pollution situation of Clostridium perfringens about the breeding environment, it turns out that Clostridium perfringens was detected also from the environment of the farrowing pen before the gravida pig enters. And since the band of DNA of this Clostridium perfringens was in agreement with the band of DNA of Clostridium perfringens in the rectum of the baby pig, it was suggested that the environment of the farrowing pen was important as one of the routes of infection to the baby pig.
