Basic research on making a database for agricultural information

Presently, information technology of agriculture is important for improvement of the management of agriculture. In addition, from the increasing of the interest about the food of the consumer, also the traceability of agricultural products is required. In this research, we designed the database as prerequisite that improvement of the management and the offering of the information. The data of a farming union was administrated by the card type database. But, it has many problems. So we used the relational database in this research. Next, we arranged the data by the formalization to decrease the overlap in the tables. From these results, we discussed about the basic structure of database for the improvement of efficiency, management and expandability. As a result, we considered that new database would be able to solve the problems of the management of agriculture.
