In this study, the authors examined the attitude of the users of stay-type allotment gardens towards interactions with the local people, and investigated the relationship between the attitude and the interaction. The users were classified into 3 types based on their attitude towards interaction; (a) those who were willing to interact, (b) who were aware of interactions, and (c) who had an indifferent attitude toward interactions. The actions of type (a) were classified into 2 groups: (a1) the users who interact and (a2) the users who did not.
