Estimation of environmental conservation effects and environmental conservation cost of using biomass

In this paper, for environmental conservation effect and environmental conservation cost of using biomass is estimated. In recent years, cases of using biomass have been increasing. In such a situation, it is becoming more important to estimate not only the technical but also economic and accounting aspects. Therefore, this paper analyzed a biomass plant in terms environmental conservation effect and environmental conservation cost. The methodology used in this analysis was environmental accounting approach and eco-efficiency. The result of analysis was obtained by following the environmental accounting approach. 1) The biomass plant has the ability to reduce 84.116 t-CO2. 2) Cost of the kerosene stove is rather more expensive than biomass production. However, according to eco-efficiency indicators, it was revealed that use of biomass had higher costs than kerosene stove.
