This article discusses the problems concerning the state road quality and maintenance as well as contains analyses of the state road maintenance financing. It describes the main differences of daily maintenance aspects for asphalt-concrete pavement roads and crushed stone and gravel pavement roads. The article also analyses the maintenance and repairing tendencies of Latvian bridges.
