The 34 abstracts of reports of Latvia University of Agriculture teaching staff and scientists are compiled in this issue. The history, teaching and research work of Faculty of Agriculture is described. The significance of the Training and Research Farm Vecauce in preparation the students of Latvia University of Agriculture is overviewed, farm commercial activity and research work is also described. The activities of Training and Research Station Peterlauki, Horse Breeding Training Centre Mušķi, Research Institute of Agriculture in Skriveri, Latvian State Institute of Fruit Breeding, State Priekuli Institute of field crop breeding, Pūre Horticultural Research Centre, Latvian State Plant Protection Centre, Latgale Agricultural Research Centre and State Stende Institute of Cereals Breeding are presented. Several tasks in agronomy, plant protection, plant breeding and animal husbandry are also overviewed.
