[Methodological aspects of the development of a microbiological method for crop powdery mildew control]
2007
Nikolaev, A. | Nikolaeva, S.
22 cultures of spore-forming bacteria have been tested for their antibiotic activity against Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Macrosporium solani, Botrytis cinerea and Fusarium. As the result of the tests, the bacteria possessing pronounced antifungal properties were detected. A methodological approach for the examination of bacterial antagonists against powdery mildew, on barley - Blumeria graminis f. s. hordei modelling system, is proposed. The identification of antagonist bacteria, using dense nutritive media, accompained by their evaluation on the model powdery mildew-barley allows to obtain cultures of bacteria, which can serve as producers of microbiological substances for powdery mildew control.
