Prunus amygdalus is a plant of Rosaceae renders valuable dry fruit almond. It is used in Unani Medicine since long as demulcent, nutritive and slightly laxative. The present paper deals with its phytochemical constituents and pharmacological actions with information on its morphology and cultivation.
