This work undertakes research on the course of meiosis in male and female generative cells and symptoms of infertility in the species. Because the inflorescence of garlic contains numerous differentiated structures, the stages of its morphogenesis were tracked with the use of scanning microscope. It was concluded that the particular elements of the inflorescence were formed without any definite sequence in both acropetal and basipetal direction
