2009
Jhangiryan, A.
The following thesis analyzes the motivation system in Armenia and reveals its problems and gaps. A survey questionnaire type research to determine employee motivation was conducted. Interviews with employees were also carried out to see if the proper motivation system is implemented in Armenia. Taking into account the importance of Small and Medium Entrepreneurship (SME) performance for the country's economy as a whole, and the sector's significant contribution to Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in particular, the decision was made to conduct a research on SMEs. The SME, named VVV LLC was studied for the purpose of this research. This study took place in Armenia, due to increased opportunities to communicate with people as there were no language constraints. Moreover, it was easier to understand people's psychology and mentality and have access to companies. During my work experience I was continuously facing lack of motivation. Employees often complained that they are not at all motivated. Motivation is something that everyone needs. However, this is easier said than done. Motivation is a complicated internal situation that people have. It cannot be observed directly, but it can affect their behavior. The job of a manager in a workplace is to get things done through employees. To do this, the manager should be able to motivate employees. An individual, especially a man who leads other people, should have the ability to understand the positions of others.
