The influence of number of pollen bees on development and productivity of bee colonies has been investigated. The investigations were performed on the beehive yard near Lazarevac, Serbia. The measurements were investigated during March and April of 1999 and 2000. Number of pollen bees per each hive and surface of brood, honey and pollen was measured. These investigation had showed that surface of pollen was very important to brood development in the spring. Correlation between uncapped brood and pollen bees was between from 0.5 to 0.92, between capped brood and pollen bees from 0.32 to 0.97 and between total surface of brood and pollen bees was from 0.49 to 0.95.
