The obtained results have shown that 1 and 3 hours after the peroral administration of Na-propionate, there was a significant increase in cortisol concentration in blood of calves aged 4 months (p is less than 0.01); and increase in insulin concentration in blood of calves aged 2 months, 3 hours after administration (p is less than 0.05), and an increase in glucose concentration in blood of calves aged 2 months, 1 hour after administration (p is less than 0.05).
