Especially interesting aspect of this research was that it revealed very good properties of bark humus as a possible basic component of future substrates for nursery production, made out of domestic resources exclusively. This substance, which is in fact originally wood processing organic waste from woodmill on Goc Mt. may become the key element that would bring substantial cost reduction and simplify nursery production of woody plants. There lays the importance of further research towards finding the most favourable organic matter transformation conditions, aiming at providing stabile and qualitative production of bark humus (both in quality and in quantity), as well as establishing optimal ratio and character of other components in the mixture. This will enable proper and full use of domestic resources and present production capacity. At the same time, one small but very significant segment of environmental control is achieved - sustainable solid organic waste management.
